Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole

Meal Prep – ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Number of Ingredients – 13 (But I don’t like gerkins/pickles so I left them out)

Getting all your ingredients out at the start makes the meal prep a lot quicker!

There are a lot of ingredients in this dish, but I had them all in my fridge/freezer so I didn’t have to buy anything specially for the recipe, although next time I will use grated cheddar for more cheesy flavour.

The meal prep is not too hard in this recipe there’s three basic steps, cooking the bacon, cooking the mince and mixing up the cheats cheese sauce.

Making the Recipe – ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Saute the onions and garlic.
Add the mince and cook until brown.
Add the cream cheese.
Whisk together the cheese sauce.

Then its just a matter of assembling it all in a casserole dish or pan.

Add the mince first.
Then the bacon… next time I am going to add more bacon because…. bacon!
Pour over your cheese sauce and then add more cheese because… cheese!

Cooking Method – ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Then just cook it in the oven until the cheese is all melty on top and its all heated through.  Easy peasy!

Cheesy goodness on top!

The Claim

“A family friendly easy recipe for keto bacon cheeseburger casserole. Yes, you read that right. Heaven on a plate. Your kids will guarantee to love this, the only thing missing is the bun and the soda – perfect!”

Is it? Is it REALLY??

I think it was quite cheeseburger like, I could have added more salt I think and of course, next time I will use cheddar cheese for more cheesy flavour. This is not a fault of the recipe of course, I just didn’t have the right cheese at home.

I might not say heaven on a plate, but I’ll make it again with a couple of tweaks and see if I can raise it to the heavenly heights that are claimed on the website!

Not quite heaven on a plate but maybe cloud 9?
